I'm Ella, and I tell stories. Nothing brings me greater joy than developing the vast potential in others and in arts organizations. I wholeheartedly believe in the transformative and healing power of the arts and arts education for individuals, communities, and for the world.
In my role as the Executive Managing Director of Sunset Playhouse, I have the privilege of leading a 65+ year old theater that values community engagement, volunteerism, and creating high quality theatrical experiences & education.
As an educator, director, and creative, my philosophy is that investment in the arts is vital to developing a stronger society. With a decade of experience in theatre education, utilization of positive reinforcement, team building, and trauma informed practices (certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing) are integral to my work.
In my communications and development experiences, my work has been focused on strategically increasing mission awareness and brand attachment to draw upon intentional engagement and investment of communities and audiences.
